NextGen Reader Icon

I created the icon/logo for the popular Windows Phone 7 (WP7) app NextGen Reader, a Google Reader Client that helps you read, subscribe & sync news. This icon was designed to integrate with the Windows Phone design system codenamed "Metro" (more info here).

The icon went through a series of developments, first using the symbols of an arrow, the RSS icon and custom typography that were placed into a square 'tiled' format.

This was simplified down eventually due to it taking up too much height and being slightly cluttered, the end result includes just the RSS icon rotated so it is radiating upwards as if broadcasting a message, ass the app aids with.
